Reasonable effects are made to post schedules as they become available on the website. You are required to attend all 5 days in order to receive full credit.
Short/Long Term / "20 hour" /"40 Hour" Recommendations can be completed in combination of group and individual treatment. Atlantic Coastal Counseling is proud to serve as a North Carolina approved "piolt" site allowing clients to attend 16 hours of Prime for Life (ADETS) in combination with additional group/individual sessions to meet treatment recommendations. Additional open ended groups are typically held on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 - 8:00 weekly. Treatment services can be tailored to your individual needs and in many cases may include group treatment, which is less costly than individual treatment and often allows persons to complete treatment in a more timely way than if they were involved in individual therapy. Individual therapy allows you more of a personalized treatment experience and may be more personally rewarding for you.
Assessment recommendations are based a variety of clinical and adminstrative factors. For an example anyone with a BAC .15 or over - or refused BAC should not be recommended to ADETS according to state guidelines. Persons convicted of an impaired driving offense are required to complete an assessement and assessment recommendations prior to driver's license reinstatement. In many cases it can be advisable to complete this pre-trial.
North Carolina does NOT accept "online classes" or distance learning to statisfy requirements of assessment, education and or treatment recommendations.
